PRESIDENT CENA'S PLEA TO HELP SHILOH GET TO HOUSTON
Friday, February 27th, 2009 * 1:12AM
MWF President and minority owner John Cena Sr. sent the following plea to BOSTONWRESTLING.COM:
"It is through giving that we really receive."
I truly believe this and try to live it everyday of my life; these are not just words but a motto. Simply look at what you have and then look around you. It really isn't that bad, as a matter of a fact you and I probably are doing OK. Sure, I as well as you may not have all the money we want, we might have a health defect or be in a financial dilemma. But, we are walking, breathing, getting up every morning able to enjoy the sunrise and those around us we love. However, there are some who truly need our help and have made that special wish. A wish that can only be granted by us, those of us who really can see that no matter how bad it may seem, it never gets that bad. Children with cancer whose only wish is to meet that special football, basketball or baseball player. A youngster with CP that is totally confined to a wheel chair and must be assisted in all that they and they have that dream of being that special person. All things are possible in this world we live in, but as with everything, we sometimes need some help in getting there. Whether it be in the form of an education, a special device to aid us in walking, a motorized wheelchair, whatever it maybe we all sometimes need help. Many have given and have asked little in return and such is "Superstar" Billy Graham. He thrilled us in the ring and still does so with his appearances and with his art work. Superstar has a little lady who now needs our help. She is known as the Mermaid Girl, Shiloh Pepin, a young lady that suffers from a very rare disease and the survival rate is poor. This young lady has a dream and a wish and that is to go to "Wrestlemania 25" in Houston, TX April 5th. One problem, her family has limited finances and like other proud parents even though they would like to help their daughter fulfill her dream just won't ask for the help. Soooo, here is where you and I come in. For all of us and Superstar let us show the we truly believe that, "it is through giving we receive" by sending just one dollar to:
Karl Lauer
Attn: Leslie Pepin
HRC 33 Box 107
Rolla, MO 65401
You can make a generous donation via cash, check or money order. Please make all payments out to Shiloh's mother, Leslie Pepin for the express use of getting her to WrestleMania.
If we can give more then a dollar, let's take a shot at it. Maybe, we have some supersaver miles we can part with and we can help with the flight for her, mom and dad. WWE and Make-A-Wish are taking care of tickets and hotel. Sooo, all of us, the wrestlers and fans alike, need to do is get her on that plane and to Huston and then back home. I say we can and will do it and more. This is John Cena, Sr. (aka Johnny Fabulous) asking all of you to please help out by sending your check or money order right away so we can get the flight and give her and her family what may well be a last wish and sharing with their daughter a dream and wish come true. I have always said, "when the chips are down the wrestlers and fans comprise a family no other." Let us show the world just what that means and what we can do as a family united. I know that we will raise all we need and this young lady who has a smile to warm even the hardest of hearts will be there enjoying the grandest show of them all, "WrerstleMania 25." May, I take this opportunity to say, "Thank you and God Bless."
